The FXN Final Fantasy XIII Podcast is back with episode 7, but…there’s absolutely no news! An epic misadventure ensues as news-hungry maniacs chase down the newly formed four person crew for their fix of FFXIII crac–I mean, info.

This was a blast to work on. I just had to draw something for this week’s episode after listening to the kickass intro sequence that Kyle cooked up. It’s the best one so far, in my opinion. Anyway, got a couple of easter eggs in this piece! The car chase is based off of Burnout Paradise’s “Marked Man” event and David’s got a Zat from Stargate.

It’s a lot more cartoony than my usual works too and I think I’m getting better at noses. However, I noticed that I haven’t been that great with hair. I guess it’s time to start doing more studies again, I haven’t done any in a while. There’s a couple of perspective issues too, I guess I should’ve used a vanishing point, haha.

By the way, I’ll probably be doing some tinkering around with the CSS in the next few days, so if you notice anything wonky with the colours and layout, don’t fret! It’s just me.

Haha, so yeah, the podcast is really great! It’s amazingly fun to listen to and it’s about Square-Enix’s next title in the Final Fantasy Franchise: Fabula Nova Crystallis! What’s not to like? I believe this week’s episode will be the fourth one. Things are really shaping up, with guests and special interviews, plus the forum community plays just as big a role, contributing to the feature discussions and question segments of the podcast.

Anyway, working on the promo art was incredibly fun. Lightning was a pain in the bullocks to colour though, as simple as her outfit looks, it’s actually quite the detailed design, but at least Nomura cut back on the 200 belts and buckles, so that was a relief! Haha.

Hmm…I’ve been feeling rather dissatisfied for some reason lately. No idea why though. Maybe I’m not being as productive as I would like to be. I haven’t been drawing in my sketchbook for sometime either, but I did manage to do so for the past 2 days, hopefully I’ll keep at it.

Maybe I should go out more often? Guess I’ll start playing basketball first thing monday morning.

Anyway, even with that feeling of dissatisfaction, there have been some interesting and really cool events that took place during the week. Work is going well, I need to pick up the pace though. I’ll also be working on a collaboration project sometime soon. And I’m also a mod at the FXN forums now!

I guess this kind of reflects my current situation, except in a more lighthearted way. I keep thinking about so much stuff lately I can’t even sleep that well anymore. Should I start doing commissions on dA? Will people even commission me? Aren’t I already busy enough as it is? But I need some form of income, don’t I? Is it a good idea to redesign the site? Shouldn’t I start exercising even?
