Hahahaha, tis a funny conversation I had with my sister. The ass, by the way, is a nick name refering to a certain someone whose name I will not disclose. Anyway, we had a good laugh.

Just picked up an Epson all-in-one printer today. I don’t know why my brother and I didn’t buy one in the first place. Guess we kind of forgot when we saw that Canon scanner…

Anyway, enjoy the sketch of what will eventually be Toph Bei Fong from Avatar: The Last Airbender! This Epson scans a lot faster than the Canon and it makes a lot less noise too.

Ahaha, sorry, couldn’t help myself.
Okay, so today’s probably been the most productive day I’ve had in a while, well, along with yesterday. So, what have I been doing? Well, I’ll start off with work. I can’t say much but I think I should be able to say this without suffering any…repercussions, haha. Anyway, I’ve been working with Okashi for a while now as a background artist. Things were going at a pretty good pace, but we’re finally down to the last background artwork! HUZZAH! The game’s looking pretty good, Colleen put together a preview video and it looks pretty darn tight. Hopefully I can get this last piece done by the end of the week.

Moving along, I actually finished this sometime during the first week of January. It’s a logo I did for my friend back in Canada. At first I wasn’t really satisfied with it, I mean seriously, look at it…Haha, but since I’ve been looking at it for a while, I think I’ve grown used to it. He wanted something nerdy. I had other ideas but this one stood out the most.

And since we’re still on the topic of logos, here’s another. Well, it’s actually just part of another logo. I took out the rest of it because this is supposed to be just a sneak peak at a secret project that I’m working on with Kyle and his friend, Katie.

And for the last piece of art for the day (I have more, but I can’t show them. Well, at least not yet), I present the lineart to my submission for Imaginary Friends Studio’s art book, The Pepper Project. Pepper’s hawt, that’s all I have to say…and so is her friend, Wanda. Hahaha.
And to finish off this post, here’s me…attempting to play Final Fantasy IX’s Aloha de Chocobo. I can only play the intro for now, heheh.

The Drawings and Illustrations section of my portfolio is currently down thanks to the internet connection being a bitch. I was fooling around in Photoshop and TextEdit yesterday, tweaking and changing bits of the site, specifcally the colour scheme. That green for the links was butt ugly, I just had to change it. Anyway, I had no problem uploading all that crap up last night.
This morning, I decided to clear out all my image files because I had them resaved and optimized to a smaller file size for a quicker load. However, now I can’t even upload a single file without the bloody connection dropping or timing out on me. It’s pissing me off.
Ugh, anyway, visitors please bear with this for now. I’m trying another FTP client for the time being.
Hmm…I’ve been feeling rather dissatisfied for some reason lately. No idea why though. Maybe I’m not being as productive as I would like to be. I haven’t been drawing in my sketchbook for sometime either, but I did manage to do so for the past 2 days, hopefully I’ll keep at it.
Maybe I should go out more often? Guess I’ll start playing basketball first thing monday morning.
Anyway, even with that feeling of dissatisfaction, there have been some interesting and really cool events that took place during the week. Work is going well, I need to pick up the pace though. I’ll also be working on a collaboration project sometime soon. And I’m also a mod at the FXN forums now!
Well, here’s a simple sketch for now.

I guess this kind of reflects my current situation, except in a more lighthearted way. I keep thinking about so much stuff lately I can’t even sleep that well anymore. Should I start doing commissions on dA? Will people even commission me? Aren’t I already busy enough as it is? But I need some form of income, don’t I? Is it a good idea to redesign the site? Shouldn’t I start exercising even?
Haha…yeah.

Hahaha! Finally got Photoshop today, and a bunch of other neat surprises!
I’m Raging Crow, by the way, just a nickname thing going on between my brother, sister and me.
Anyway, so I finally get a letter from Singapore Post that I have a package waiting for me.
Inside that package? Adobe Photoshop Extended and a bunch of other goodies sent by my good friends in California, Okashi Studios.
Finally, right (I’m saying that in an excited way)? I was so excited. Open the letter…and I find out my package is being detained at Immigrations and Customs, which is a good hour away, maybe more, from where I live!!!
Bah, okay it’s not really the end of the world, just a big inconvenience. I wanted to go and get it today, but today’s Sunday, meaning ICA is closed. Hopefully they’re open tomorrow because I know, sure as heck, that they aren’t gonna be open on Tuesday. <_<
So yeah...I ordered something from my Cafepress store too...because they were gonna charge me a $5 service fee to send a cheque of $9 to me xD Might as well buy something eh? I just hope it doesn't get stopped at Customs again, and hopefully I won't have to pay duty/taxes either. It's being shipped by UPS, so maybe I won't experience the same inconvenience of living so far away from everything again. xD
PS.
I don't celebrate christmas. I'm Christian, christmas isn't. Don't say, 'You don't celebrate it? Gee that sucks' or wish me a merry christmas just for the heck of it either.
Thanks.
And since I'm bored, enjoy this random conversation I had with the guildies on Dofus.

Still haven’t received Photoshop, but hopefully it’ll arrive next week! Anyway, I haven’t been very productive this week, heh, this is about all I’ve got aside from work related art that I can’t show. It would appear that uploading through Wordpress somehow lowers the quality of the photo, but alas, I can’t do anything about it since I don’t have Photoshop.
And since I don’t have a lot of new artworks, here are some speed paintings of my friends that I finished a while ago.

In other new, my copy of Final Fantasy XII Greatest Hits arrived a couple of weeks ago from Play-asia.com. Been playing it ever since. I’ve missed this game so much.

Mmm, I’ve decided to continue adding to the concentration pieces that I painted back in my senior year of high school. It should be good practice for me, but personally, I would rather be learning and practicing in school under good direction; however, since that’s not an option, this will do for now
After all, I have a lot more free time than I previously thought I ever would.
Anyway, I’ve reorganized the Drawing and Illustration section and I’ve already added 2 more concentration pieces!
I can’t believe it.
I got frickin screwed over by Singapore’s MINDEF. According to them, I am to “disregard the enlistment notice for December 13/2007″ and report for another, believe it or not, pre-enlistment medical check-up…in frickin January, meaning I have to extend my passport again, meaning I won’t be going back to Canada until 2010! What the frickin heck!? First I might have a heart problem, then I don’t have a heart problem, that was even confirmed when I went for another EKG test for a second opinion. Now I’m medically unfit again? Make up your bloody minds dammit!
Ugh, now I have to wait again, I probably won’t be enlisted until March/April. I’m thinking about taking the NAPFA test again, if I manage to pass that, then I can at least get 2 months off my service. I should probably find a job too. Seems to me that Singapore’s really good at screwing up people’s lives.
I guess that’s my rant for tonight, I’m still pretty mad, but I know this is God’s will so I pray that he gives me the faith to trust in him.
